What ThinkingRoot is

ThinkingRoot is a cognition database. Its unit isn’t a spreadsheet row — it’s ThinkingMemory: facts compiled from what you taught, each locked to a source.

You add knowledge. ThinkingMemory remembers it. You ask. Answers come back with citations — or an honest “I don’t have that,” instead of a confident guess.

Nothing is invented. If it isn’t in what you taught, the answer stays empty.

Why this is different

A normal database stores rows and returns them. A normal chatbot guesses from training data. ThinkingMemory does neither.

1. Teach — upload docs, notes, code, or a URL.
2. Compile — the engine turns them into atomic claims (facts), links entities, and keeps provenance (which file, which bytes).
3. Ask — recall finds the right claims; the answer cites them. If nothing supports an answer, it abstains.

Because the AI reads compiled, cited claims instead of raw document dumps, context stays smaller and answers stay checkable.

The eight verbs

ThinkingMemory isn’t a passive folder. Everything it does maps to a verb:

• remember — write a fact in, with provenance.
• recall — find the memories that match a question.
• learn — improve what surfaces from what actually helped.
• sleep — consolidate and age memory in the background.
• dream — propose new insights, held aside until verified.
• predict — grounded “what next,” or refuse if unsupported.
• fork / merge — branch memory like git: explore, then keep what verifies.
• inherit — pass knowledge forward (agents, capsules, packs).
